C...

1st is insufficient because x can be equal to y

2nd alone insufficient to tell anything about y

form both z >x and y is in between x and z so y > x..

the thing that got to me is....

if x, y, and z are positive int, is y > x?

how can the two stmts combined be possible then?

shouldn't z = x if xz = y^2?

I would say C.

y>x?

1. y^2=zx, zx can be anything, so not suff.
2. z-x>0, z>x nothing about Y, so not suff.

combined.

suff.
examples:
16=8*2
36=9*6
........
.......
