i got it

For statement 2 (thats how my answer was B) i was making the mistake of picking up numbers for which the product was under 12 ....(but that s like using statement 1 for statement 2)

how dumb of me

C should be the answer

Just a small correction here :
1,3,7 is also a possible combination but with that also x=1 ...so toghether both sufficient :-) if it were asked what is the value of z than answer would be E .
