Hi, I recently took the GMAT and scored a 580 on it. However, I listed all my top schools for which my target score was 720+. I have accepted my score for now but am worried that this may affect the future scores that I send to the institutes later on. Could someone please share the factual information on this?

Well, your current GMAT score will be reported to the schools you selected when you took the test. If you decide to retake the GMAT and achieve a higher score in the future, that score will also be reported. Business schools have varying policies on how they consider multiple scores, so it's important to research each school's policies and communicate with their admissions teams to understand how your scores will be evaluated in your specific case.

If you're concerned, you may still be able to cancel (if it is within the time limit to do so) and reinstate the score later on. Consider getting the ESR of the 580 in case you may want to retake later on. May provide some helpful insight.
