Imperial College is part of the University of London and offers a one-year program for about 70 students each year. The Management School was established in 1985, some 30 years after the founding of the Dept of Management Science. This pattern is typical of schools with strong basis in science/technology where management started as an extension of training in the traditional applied science disciplines.
