Hi vargamartin1031, have you given any consideration to EDHEC? https://master.edhec.edu/msc-finance

Hi Farrell,

Thank you for your response! Yes I have considered EDHEC as well, just like ESSEC, Lancaster or Manchester for that matter.
I like the Master's program at EDHEC too, are you asking because you think I would have a better shot at getting into that one compared to getting into the ones I mentioned in my original post?
Can you please elaborate?

Many thanks,
Martin

Hi Martin vargamartin1031, no, I usually go for strategy and substance but in this case it is all superficial - ranked #3 in finance and Nice is such an amazing place to spend a year. I forgot the finance program does not have a January intake so no on better shot, unless you speak French or have job contacts or something

Hi Farrell,

I would not consider the January intake either way, I want to start in September 2020. :)
What do you think about the other schools mentioned?

Hi Martin, I mention January batch because you have a better shot when you are earlier in the cycle. The farther you are from the start date the less full the class is and the better your chances, on average. To be honest I don't consider myself an expert in finance master programs; I know ESSEC is ideal for a luxury track; stuff like that. I am guessing you feel LSE is punching above your weight?

Oh okay, I see. Some of the schools I mentioned already start round 1 applications in September or October this year, so I think that could be an advantage for me.
As for LSE, I feel like that's out of my range. If you consider LSE a tier 1 school, then we could say I'm aiming for tier 2 schools.
