I think if you are scoring 780 in powerprep or GMATPrep eventhough with few repeats, you sohlud not worry much. You will definitely score at least 700 on the real test.

ya buddy..... here is the problem....... the key words here are not "few repeats" but "all repeats " from the OG..... :?
and thats wot is the concern here... :x .......
btw i took pp just to relieve myself from the kaplan's and princeton's miserable algos..........

Yeah, that's the problem. The PowerPrep was from the 90's I believe, so OG 10/11 contain almost all the questions from it... I saw a few repeats myself when I did it, and I got 780 as well (PP1 I think), 50/49. On GMATPrep I've been getting about 760, so I think it inflates your score a bit (20 or so, maybe more). It's still good practise though. I think the key is just conditioning your brain to get used to it all

Also another thing with repeats, sometimes you see a repeat and you THINK you remember the answer, but you get it wrong :-) But if you thought about it, you could have deduced the right answer again... so in a sense repeats aren't ENTIRELY free points.. but they do help a bit.

Agreed, but then again such a thing happens only once in a full moon!!!(that you remember an answer to a known question and it turns out 2 b wrong)
