Probably, schools accept GRE scores only to be able to pull from larger pools of applicants but would prefer not to. The GMAT is a much better test of the skills needed in both business school and business itself. Also, unlike preparing for the GRE, which includes memorizing vocabulary words, preparing for the GMAT is a great way to train your mind. So, in the context of MBA admissions, the GRE will always be a second-rate option in comparison with the GMAT.

It is interesting what it seems is that the % of GRE has decreased/declined across all schools. I wonder if that's an indicator of schools not even requiring a test? to increase the pool even further?
P.S. I have heard some interesting stories about the GRE being compromised and lots of real questions floating around. not sure how true that is and if you have heard anything along those lines.

Thank you Carcass!

Sorry but what is average GRE % across schools? How is that different from the second chart?
That's across all vs. Top?

It is also strange that all % signs have a \ next to them. I am going to fix it.
Sorry and thanks for fixing the typo. It is something related to the tool I used for.

The data were collected among 50 schools, which are, essentially, the same over the years. They are the usual suspects.

I interpreted the data to have the most relevant trends. The highlights.

The first chart is intuitive: the GRe acceptance among all the schools ranked.

I know that you see average but essentially it is the % acceptance rate of the GRE

Overall GRE Adoption Trends (Average % GRE Across All Schools)

Average acceptance

The second is among the top five.

As for the possible leak, I did not have rumors. The last one was in 2022 and ETS cracked on it heavily. Neither on reddit there is a discussion on something afterward that, of a new possible case :dontknow:
