Hey guys
I've been getting a consistent 34 in verbal, and have found that my SC accuracy is pretty low - I'm averaging about 8-9 correct questions out of 15.
I'm a native English speaker. Been through the MGMAT SC guide multiple times.
1)What could I be doing wrong here,and how can I improve this accuracy?
2)Hypothetically, If I end up getting those extra 6 SC questions correct, could my score go up from 34 to late 30s/early 40s?

Getting the SC questions correct can be quite sensitive to your verbal score - it could go up to the high 30s and perhaps 40 (depending on if there's any improvement in the other verbal sections).
If you've been through some study guides and it's still not working for you, you might have a tough time internalizing what exactly the rules are. You are also a native speaker so technically, this is an area you can solidify with a new approach and more calculated practice.
Besides getting the SC questions wrong - are you being slow? Are you not identifying key booby traps right from the first read? Improving SC makes sense to boost your score. Focus on taking the steps to accomplish this.
