This can be solved using 2x2 table for overlapping sets.
What percentage of women employed by company work in night shift = \(\frac{(Women Who Work In Night Shift)}{ (Total Women Employed)} * 100\)
Women who work in Night Shift is Indicated by Orange and Total Women employed is indicated by green in the below image.
Also, assume that total employees are 100 to make the math simple!
Refer attached images to follow step by step process
Now, what percentage of women employed by company work in night shift = \(\frac{(Women Who Work In Night Shift)}{ (Total Women Employed)} * 100\) = \(\frac{7}{40}*100\) = 17.5%
So, answer will be D
