Initial number of boys -> b.
Initial number of girls -> g.

If 60% of boys were girls, then there would be 100% more girls than boys.
i.e.,
if b -> 0.4b and g -> g + 0.6b
then
g + 0.6b = 2 (0.4b)

=> g = 0.2b

% of girls in the class = g/(g+b) x 100% = [(0.2b) / (0.2b + b)] x 100%
= 16.66..%.
