In a given month, a restaurant spends between 55% and 70% of its revenue on food and supplies, and between 23% and 28% of its revenue on staff salaries. The remaining revenue is the restaurant’s net profit. If the restaurant earned $80,000 in revenue one month, which of the following could have been its net profit?

I. $1,700
II. $10,000
III. $17,000

Range for Food & supplies : 55-70 Min.56 Max. 69
Range for salary :23-28 Min. 24 Max . 27
Profit range 100-(56+24) to 100-(69+27) i.e 4 to 20% of revenue
Profit ranges between 3200 to 16000
Only Option II is possible.

Why it’s 56 Min and 69 max? It can not be 55,5%?
I think the revenue should be from 22 to 2 %
And if revenue is x it will be 1600 < x < 17600.
No ?

Min.value for F&S can be 55.01(for the sake of calculation) and max.value 69.99
Similarly , salary can be between 23.01 to 27.99
Therefore profit range can be between 2.02 to 21.98 .
1616<x<17584
Therefore ,I,II & III can be possible.
