Simplified question stem - - > what is the radius of the circle.

Both statements individually gives us the radius.

To determine:- $$\frac{Area}{circumference}$$

St1:- r=10 unit
hence both area and circumference can be determined, subsequently ratio can be computed.
Sufficient.

St2:-The area of the circle is 100π square units
Radius can be determined if area is known.
So,circumference can be determined, subsequently ratio can be computed.
Sufficient.

Ans. (D)

Solution

Given:
• We are given a circle

To find:
• The ratio of the area of circle to its circumference

Approach and Working:
• Area/ Circumference = r/2

Analysing Statement 1
• We are given r = 10
• Thus, the ratio = 10/2 = 5
Therefore, Statement 1 alone is sufficient to answer this question

Analysing Statement 2
• Area = 100ᴨ, implies ᴨr2 = 100ᴨ
• Thus, r = 10
Therefore, Statement 2 alone is sufficient to answer this question.

Hence, the correct answer is option D.
