In a school, the range of the height of grade one is 18 and grade two is 30.5. Combining them, what is the least value of the range?

= 30.5

can u explain it
Take examples.

Grade 1: Min = 1, max = 19
Grade 2: Min = 1, max = 31.5

Combined: Min = 1, Max=31.5
Therefore range = 30.5

If Grade2 min is more than the grade 1 min, then range will only increase.
For eg
Grade 2 : Min 10, Max : 41.5. So range of combined = 40.5

So minimum value of the combined range = 30.5

I'm not good at explaining. Hope its clear.

this is pretty....
