Each team has to play other 9 teams 16 times. So 9*16=144

Per my understanding, "A" team must play each of the other 9 teams 16 times
So A team will play 9*16=144 matches total

1 team plays 9 other teams 16 times each
so, 1 team plays a total of 9*16 = 144 matches

Each of the 10 teams played the 9 other teams. Since each team played each of the other 9 teams 16 times, each team played 9 x 16 = 144 games.
