With the given information it's clear that minimum number of people who read both A and B but not C can be 0. It doesn't look like a 700 problem or the question is missing some info.

Let the people who read A and B but not C = x (as shown)


For x to be minimum, We have to maximize C i.e, C = 83 and adjust 83 (as shown)


I would try to give the least value possible = 0 and try adjust A and B to fit the values given 20 ≤ A ≤ 40 and 50 ≤ B ≤ 70

32 is because Maximum value of A = 40 and Give the remaining 43 and eventually B = 51 (valid range)

So, Least value = 0

IMO Option A

At least two: 85
All: 8

no of people who read only two of the three newspapers: AB+AC+BC = 85-8 ; 77 ---- (1)

The maximum number of people who read BC and AC: AC+BC = 83-8 = 75 ---- (2)
(Assuming the maximum value of C equally assumes the minimum value of AB.)

(1)-(2) AB = 2

no of people who read only two of the three newspapers: AB+AC+BC = 85-8 ; 77 ---- (1)

(Assuming the maximum value of C equally assumes the minimum value of AB.)

Question seems ambiguous.
Minimum has to be zero
OA says C!

Bunuel, would it be correct to assume that a fixed number of persons were surveyed and all of them read one or more of the three newspapers?
