C.
Students should be the subject of the sentence to eliminate confusing structure.

In A and B, it is not clear that it was the students that requested the revised curriculum.
"In addition to the revised curriculum requested last semester, the students..."

A or C

C seems to change the meaning a bit. It seems that sutdents requested to revise the curriculum.

I will pick A.

In addition to the revised curriculum requested last semester, the students are now demanding that a new grading system be instituted

A) In addition to the revised curriculum requested last semester, the students are now demanding that a new grading system be instituted
B) In addition to the revised curriculum that had been requested last semester, the students are now demanding that a new grading system be instituted.
C) The students are now demanding that a new grading system be instituted in addition to the revised curriculum they requested last semester
D) Added to the revised curriculum that was requested last semester by the students, they are now demanding the institution of a new grading system
E) Added to the new curriculum requested last semester, the students have now demanded the institution of a new grading system.

A is the best answer.
D and E are wordy
C - "In addition to X" Y is happening" sounds idiomatically correct.
B - WORDY

I see your explanation arj_singh1976! I see my mistake! I think C now makes a little bit more sense :)

THanks

A,B, and C have the subjunctive mood structure.

I think there is a modifier error with both a and b

I would go with C
