(1) The total number of members who have participated in skydiving is 45.

Using a 3x3 matrix where S = Skydiving and R = Rappelling

    \begin{tabular}{|l|l|l|l|}
    \hline
        ~ & R & nR & Total \\ \hline
        S & ~ & ~ & 45 \\ \hline
        nS & ~ & ~ & 105 \\ \hline
        Total & ~ & ~ & 150 \\ \hline
    \end{tabular}

From this statement one can fill in that the total for \(S\) is 45, and the Total for \(nS\) is 105. Without more information, it is impossible to solve for the number of Silver Class Members.

INSUFFICIENT

(2) The total number of members who have not participated in skydiving is 105.

This statement provides the same information as above, just in reverse.

    \begin{tabular}{|l|l|l|l|}
    \hline
        ~ & R & nR & Total \\ \hline
        S & ~ & ~ & 45 \\ \hline
        nS & ~ & ~ & 105 \\ \hline
        Total & ~ & ~ & 150 \\ \hline
    \end{tabular}

INSUFFICIENT

(1+2)

As the statements provide the same information, putting the two statements together will not provide any new information.

INSUFFICIENT
