We are given that there are \(1.2\) million people in the city.
\(20\) % of the population consists of children.
Which means that number of adult in the city \(= 80\) % of \(1.2\)
\(⇒ \frac{80}{100} \times 1.2\)
\(⇒ 0.8 \times 1.2\)
\(⇒ 0.96 \)
Thus there are \(0.96\) million adults in the city.
\(52\)% of the adult are women. This means \(48\)% of adults are men.
Thus number of adult men \(= 48\)% of \(0.96\).
\(⇒ \frac{48}{100} \times 0.96\)
\(⇒ 0.48 \times 0.96\)
\(⇒ 0.4608\)
\(0.4608\) million = \(0.4608 \times 10^6 = 460800\)
Hence the right answer is Option B.

Of the 1,200,000 people, 80%, or 960,000, are adults. Slightly less than half of these adults are men, and only 460,800 makes sense.
