Clara shares the rent of her new office with three colleagues, each paying $216 per month. In her old office, she shared the rent equally with two colleagues. Like the old one, the new office is rectangular, but it is 20% wider and 20% longer. The price per square meter in the new office is 20% less than that in the old office.

I had to assume Lenght and width
so the total rent = 216*4 = 864
and clara's old rent = x/3
So assumed the old building length and width is 10 and 5
the new building length is 1.2*10=12, and 1/2*5=6
thus, 864/12*6 = 80/100 * x/5*10
12 * 5000/80 = x
3*250 = x
thus 3*250/3 = 250 answer.
plz correct me if needed

I used this method.
1. New rent = 4*216=864
2. New office price/ sq meter = 0.8 * old price/sq meter
3. New office area = 1.2 Length * 1.2 Breath = 1.44 times old office area
New rent = New office price/ sq meter * new office area
4. Old rent = Old office price/ sq meter * old office area
Substituting vlaues we get
864 = (0.8 * old price/sq meter ) x ( 1.44 * old office area)
864 = 0.8*1.44*old office rent
Old office rent = 750
As it is split equally in 3, Clara's rent = 750/3 =250
