We just have to find closest integer which is to 3/4 of 147 (because 147 is not divisible by 4).

3/4 of 147 = 110.25.
But if petition is signed by only 110 people, then it will be less than the required number. So it must be signed by at least 111 people.

Hence B answer

\(\frac{3}{4}*147 = 110.25\)

Since the number of students can't be in decimals, the school requires 111 students, answer must be (B)
