Between X and Y is the correct idiom - Eliminate A and E

C.For determining if white cabbage butterflies discriminate or not between - Incorrect - Awkward.

D.Because of wanting to determine whether white cabbage butterflies discriminate between - Incorrect - Wordy. 'Because of wanting' is not needed

Correct idiom :- Discriminate between X and Y

B , C , D are left.

C is awkward because it uses " For determining "..
