Today i received an email from Pearson Vue that says...
"Dear candidate,
Due to the continued concern around the COVID-19 outbreak, and in accordance with local health and government guidance, we have suspended exam deliveries at the test center where you are currently scheduled to test for the GMAT exam
Instead of canceling your appointment, we have rescheduled your appointment date to December 31, 2020 at a temporary placeholder test center. This will allow you the flexibility to visit your account on mba(dot)com to reschedule at your preferred date/time and location. All reschedule and cancel fees will be waived.
When you log in to your profile on mba(dot)com to reschedule your appointment, you will see a temporary placeholder test center and time.
For example: You were previously scheduled on April 20, 2020 your original test center, you have now been rescheduled to December 31, 2020 @ ‘Pearson VUE- [Country]’ (“Pearson VUE Staging Site” test center is the temporary placeholder test center).
Your action is required - The test center and time we have moved your appointment to is intended to be a placeholder only. You must reschedule your appointment to the date and test center of your preference and convenience. Any applicable reschedule fees will be waived. If you choose to cancel your appointment, any applicable cancellation fees will be waived."
I tried to reschedule but there are no dates available throughout 2020.
Has anyone received any update on testing recently? I already had to reschedule a couple of times earlier due to closure. And now this. So frustrating!

Yes, a number of people have received these messages and had to deal with rescheduling or cancelation or refunds. A number have taken the GMAT online while others traveled to other locations to take the test - we did a YouTube on Sunday with one of those who traveled to Phoenix https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsiKAnS5jiY to take their GMAT in person.

I'm sorry to hear about your scheduling issue - and I imagine that many GMATers are going to receive this email. Since there's no way to predict the exact date when Testing Facilities will reopen (and/or potentially re-close due to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 virus), it's likely that most facilities don't actually have "full" appointment schedules over the next several months YET - it's that they haven't even opened up their schedules. This is meant to say that you should plan to revisit mba.com at regular intervals to see if new appointment slots have opened up at your local Test Facility. If the overall impact of the virus decreases over the next 1-2 months, then it's likely that the facilities will reopen (and a lot of interested GMATers will quickly snatch up the available appointment slots that become available).
