A

C,D and E are out because of wrong tense.
A is better than B because of two reasons:
1. In B, in first part we are using noun (anathema) and in second we are using verb (accept).
2. semicolon is used as a conjunction between two independent clauses. But this doesn't mean that semicolon is same as ".". A semicolon is used when one of the clause is closely related to other i.e they are not totally indedendent in meaning even though they are gramatically independent.


Dahiya, you must be some kind of walking grammar dictionary :shock:

B- slight change in the meaning.
C- unidiomatic.
D - Past tense incorect.
E - Future incorrect.

semicolon is needed here as we talk about 2 independent clauses that are slightly related...

"desirable as" wins the idiom test, so A makes sense

dahiya is indeed a walking dictionary :!: how did you get to that point? all from this club? :shock:
