(1) y = 87
(2) z = 93

This question should be under Data Sufficiency.

Each statement alone is sufficient. Option D

1) sum of angles cut a line on either side is 180
y+x=180
87+x=180
x=93

2) Corresponding angles are equal for parallel lines
Thus x = 93

stat1: linear pair,,, x+y = 180..suff

stat2 : corresponding angles in parallel lines,, suff
