In the figure above, the area of the base of the rectangular box is 21, and the area of one of the faces is 30. Each of the dimensions m, n and k is an integer greater than 1. What is the volume of the rectangular box?

The base of the prism (k*n)=21, which means k must equal 7 or 3, and the same goes for n.
The vertical face is equal to 30.
Given we know the value of k or n as 3 or 7, we can determine the third axial length. Since 30 is divisible by 3 and not 7, m=30/3=10
The 3 lengths are 3, 7, and 10. multiply to get the volume.
3*7*10=210
Ans=D

2) Either km=30 or nm=30
Find: kmn=?
Solution:
Now, since k,m,n are all positive integers greater than 1, therefore, only 2 possible values for k and n are 3 and 7(either could be 3 or 7). Now k or n, when multiplied with m give value 30.
Therefore the only other possible value for m is 10.
Therefore m is definitely 10. And k and n are 3 and 7.
Hence, volume = kmn = 3*7*10 = 210 --> option D.
