In the xy plane, JK is parallel to ML, and ML lies on the right of X axis. What is the area of JKML?

1) J(2,8) K(10,8)

2) M(2,0) L(10,0)

Agree with C

Since the question asks for the area of JKML, each of the statements do not provide the missing info, therefore both statements need to be combined to be able to answer.

Essentially its a square with sides 8 x8!

J-K = 8 (subtract the x values of K and J)
similarly ML = 8

Similarly (playing with the y values)
U get JM = KL = 8

Hence its a square! with sides = 8

Hence 8x8 =64

And yeah it shud be rit of Y Axis!! Rt of X axis doesnt make sense!
Also, this porblem could be complicated and made more interesting by saying that M and L are perpendicular from J and K on x axis!

Or even better JL and KM intersect one another and ML is equidistant to JK.
