ritesh, why do we need verb here? it is llism.

B has wrong idiom: such ...like is not a correct idiom.
C has wrong comparision.: what that of...?
D has verb, which i donot think is required here. D could be run on too if "as" works as subject.
E has wrong idiom too: as an .... like.....

I dont think it is parallel. a prepositional phrase is all that is mentioned in as clause... you need 1 of the 2. either a full subject + verb or just a subject with ellipted verb.

I could not understand what the question is asking. Is it comparing wage increase or job security to tel inductries.

None of the choices make any sense. SO I just picked one with atleast verb mentioned.

I MAY BE WRONG....

Ranga, Do you have an OA/OE for this.

The OA is A, This question is from Kaplan Gmat, SC practice test #17, will post the OE later today.

such...like in (B) is unidiomatic. That of in (C) is illogical: that can stand only for industry, and it does not make sense to talk about the industry of an industry. Is in (D) does not have an object. In (E) the use of both as and like is redundant. Also (b) and (E) both use th ephrase which is prospering, when the single word prospering will do. The most concise choice, (A) is correct, this will often but not always be tht case on the GMAT.
