Hi everyone. I submitted an application to a school before their Jan 10th deadline.

I hadn't heard anything from them for a while and so logged into the portal today and saw that my transcripts were missing from my application. They'd asked me to mail them to the reviewers e-mail address. I have no idea how this happened. I could have sworn I had attached them with the application (I have a folder specifically made for essential application documents and double checked every part of the application). I mailed them my transcripts and apologized for the delay as soon as I saw the message but I have no idea when it was posted (Theres no timestamp).

Should I do anything else? Calling them and trying to explain it further? I was also wondering how this would effect my chances?

If I were you, I would be on that phone calling the admissions office.
You should apologise and ask them to consider you for R2, which I think they would surely do anyway. But a course call will go a long way.

Thanks for the advice. I called the school, got their voicemail and left a message. Fingers crossed.

Hi Shivam718,

The only way to salvage the situation is to call the school up. In case you were only able to leave a voice message, we suggest that also you write to the Admissions Committee.

Fingers crossed.

All the best!

First know that depending on the school-- they may not have even reviewed anything yet-- and if they get the transcripts soon they may consider you still in this current cycle. Calling the admissions office and asking to speak to someone in their records management area could be very helpful-- as it is the people who are making sure that all the parts of the application are there are the ones you need now-- not really external "adcom" for this as the external adcom people don't review a file until it has been cleared that all the parts are there. So I would see if I could get in touch with someone who can check online where you are now-- and if you have time to be considered still. Good luck and I think you may still be OK!

If they reached out and asked for your transcripts you should be in good shape here, they would not be asking for them if they were not planning on still considering you. Seems like you called so hopefully you have some clarity at this point
