This question is based on Comparison.
The conjunction ‘like’ indicates a comparison. Since the phrase “Indian folk songs” is not underlined, whatever is compared must be parallel to the phrase.
In Option A, the phrase “like in other countries” implies that the comparison is with 'Indian folk songs' in other countries. The comparison is more likely to be between Indian folk songs and folk songs in other countries. So, Option A can be eliminated.
The pronoun ‘it’ is ambiguous in Option B. The antecedent of the pronoun is not clear as the singular pronoun cannot refer to ‘songs’. So, Option B can be eliminated.
