Hi, I am 37 years old, currently doing law.
Pondering over Insead GEMBA (Singapore campus) vs NUS MBA.
Post MBA, I would like to pivot into Private Equity in Singapore.

NUS has a great brand name in Singapore but INSEAD has a great overall reputation. The programs might create the whole difference.

First of all, I would like to understand how many years of work experience you have. If it's 10+, I would suggest going for the INSEAD GEMBA program as it would be better suited to your needs. Moreover, as it is consistently ranked amongst the top 10 Executive MBA programs worldwide, it would require a good score and in-depth knowledge about your field, topped with some stellar leadership examples! Furthermore, it would be best to highlight the projects you worked on and how they contributed to the organization's growth. Also, at this stage, your international work experience would come in handy to boost your overall profile.
NUS greatly stresses on academic excellence and is quite transparent about this fact. Also, the average GMAT score is quite high, around 670 for a full-time MBA at NUS. However, it does look beyond academics and work; hence, I would like you to highlight your ECAs to add a unique personality and charisma apart from your academic background. Additionally, add some hobbies and volunteering experiences to explore new horizons to start an interesting conversation with the adcom!
Overall, make sure you thoroughly prepare your application with your post-MBA goals making perfect sense and are aligned with your past experiences. Finally, you must be extremely clear on how NUS/INSEAD can help you reach your short & long-term goals. To understand more about your chances, we would need in-depth knowledge about each aspect of your profile.
