dixiemcgahee57 hello and nice to meet you here. Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Our students come from various subject backgrounds like engineering, technology, economics, psychology, decision sciences, neurosciences, etc., other than management subject areas like marketing, strategy, accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, etc. The programme’s interdisciplinary nature and approach to management research also attract students from non-management. It is a common desire among our applicants and students to pursue management research by combining and leveraging their backgrounds and pursuing an academic career as a management professor.
Although the degree is a PhD in Management, candidates can specialise in one of the specialisations we offer - Accounting, Decision Sciences, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, Strategy, and Technology and Operations Management. Thus, you can still leverage your prior background to produce research relevant and rooted in the real world.
If you have more questions, please let me know.
