Actually me caller specifically said the email will be sent out before the end of the day. But since its well past 5pm in France, I guess we wont be getting the email till tomorrow.

By Email. If you see this: "Thank you for showing your interest in INSEAD by applying to the MBA Programme..." at the beginning, it's not a good sign.
I'm wondering if all candidates who made it to this stage get offered a place on the waitlist, or that it's just for some of the "not accepted" candidates. Can anyone shed light on this matter?

Has anybody been waitlisted through a phone call?

I really don't think they call people to waitlist them. You can call INSEAD to ask; adcom was very helpful when I called. I think they like to be cryptic when informing the applicants - when I received the call, she was like " I'm calling because adcom had a meeting yesterday about your candidacy" etc. I swear my heart almost stopped.

I got accepted at Insead and LBS! Excited! Insead was my top choice but will still take a few days to sit on it and decide. Anyone else deciding between the two?

Congrats to everyone else who got in and best of luck to those wait listed and rejected! I know the feeling since I experienced both last year...

Tough call indeed, I wouldn't know wat i would have done if i were you, but i know i definitely would luv to be in your shoes; it's a happy headache!

Well you can lay all the merits of both (or 3) schools on the table and do a weighted scoring, placing weights against each item based on your priorities. Hey i believe this is one method which b-schools will teach you, maybe in decision analysis or sth. But IMHO, i would say follow your heart. Despite all the rational analysis, i believe you know in your heart where you will really enjoy. Have you visited Kellogg, LBS and the INSEAD's campus of your choice? Going to be difficult as they are in 3 different countries, but visiting would help. Probably even reaching the school's campus, when you are at the nearby town, you can already envision yourself being in the school.

I have visited all three countries/cities, have a fairly good idea about each school's strengths, career paths etc - well, guess what, it doesn't help. I agree - I will just have to follow my heart this time.

I reckon choosing a b-school is like choosing a boyfriend, it's not about money or look or anything else, it has to feel right. After all, I will be spending fair bit of time with him (ie, b-school) in the coming year. :-D

Congratulations to those who got accepted!

I've started a FB group - "INSEAD - July 2012" - would be great if admitted students could join so that we can communicate with each other.

Myself, I got accepted into INSEAD for Jan 2011 intake but had to defer an intake due to personal reasons. Looking forward to meeting up with all of you!
