Late doesn't seem to mean ding. INSEAD has started sending dings already so they are not holding those last. Even if you get a reply on the last day it could be either positive or negative the time you receive the email does not mean anything. If you have submitted a good application, addressing all the points they look for and your GMAT is above 70-75% on each part you should not worry much.

I concur. I was not expecting an email this early since they said they would send them out the 18th and I heard that they send some invites out way late on the given invite date. I am really glad that I got mine before I saw that others were already getting theirs, (otherwise I too would be freaking out, it is understandable) but had I not I would not lose hope until the 19th.

I think what might be happening is that they have a giant stack of people to interview, but since they have to match them up with interviewers it takes a little bit of time. They are working through it at a human pace. The only thing that confuses me a little bit is that they would be sending out random dings at the same time. Are you sure that people are getting ding emails? Maybe they just did not get an invite yet and are taking it to mean the same thing and being melodramatic in their posts. It just seems like an inefficient process to me.

The modus operandi of sending interview invites and reject emails is really upto the school. People should stop fretting and looking for patterns. It just makes the wait harder and the excessive speculation makes everyone nervous.
If it's any consolation, plenty of r1 applicants seem to have received invites even on the last day.

Could anyone who has received invites advise when they submitted their apps? I submitted mine on the deadline morning i.e. about 7:30 am Euroepean standard time.

I do believe they are sending out dings, so if you have not heard as yet- your probability remains the same.... invite or ding.

I sent mine in at about 8am (GMT+2) on the day of the deadline and got my mail yesterday so it really doesn't seem like there is any pattern at all.

A bit off-topic but...

But say you had already started in another mba and then you got an offer from a better school...

does insead for example mind if you quit your other proggy and join them? do they have any policies against that?
