D, does a correct comparison.
In E, stocks and bonds are compared with young people....
How is D different?

D is different, because the first part of the sentence has a verb, which refers to young people: rather than buy stocks and bonds.....young people have turned increasingly to
while E says that: Instead of stocks and bonds.......young people... which is illogical.
