E for me.

Though the slope of the line has a distinct value ( and hence the angle ) but the intercept does not have any distinct value ( it can be any value greater than 1).

Hope I am not missing anything here.

i think the answer is C.

stmt 1: is insuff as we dont know the slope to determine y intercept.

stmt 2: insuff

we know slope is -ve and -1/10 implies , if y is o.1 then x will be 1 or if y 1 then x will be 10.

together we can say that the line K does not intersect circle C

St1: Clearly INSUFF. Both x and y intercept (Or one intercept and slope) are required.

St2: y = -x/10+c. So line crosses (0,c) and (10c,0). If c is between 1 and -1 then it crosses through teh circle else not. : INSUFF

Combined:

As seen in statement 2 above we know that 10c > 1. i.e c > 1/10. Still c can be less than 1 or greater than 1.

I got E on this one:) I just had this Q the last GMAT Prep test I took
I was surprised I got it right...
Sometimes I just have good intuition..
