I have heard a plenty of things regarding how difficult it is for international students to get placed in Europe after MS in Management. One of my friends is an LSE passout and she had to come back to India because she says it is pretty difficult for universities in Europe to place their international applicants. How much truth is there to it?

100% true.
They don't have jobs for their citizens even, how on earth would they be able to place non-EU students. Moreover the rules in non-English speaking countries are more stringent; in France, if you know French of business proficiency then you least deserve a chance otherwise forget it. Similarly in German.
So better try for US, Canada or Asia-Pacific.

I wouldn't say this is true, here's my take on this, I believe the career service of universities and batch size play a big role in placements. The one's with larger batch sizes usually won't have placements. LSE is ranked 42(placement ranking) so the university has bad career service. Do adjust the rankings accordingly as per placements / enrollments / employment. Example, St. Gallen the batch size is around 35-40 per year high chances of placement.

Hi Guys,

I recently got selected in HEC Paris Grande Ecole program. I had a few queries regarding the program. It would be really helpful if you could answer them.

1. How are the job prospects after graduating from HEC?
2. Would it be a good decision to go to Paris, given the financial crisis in Europe?
3. Now that the Visa regulations have become more stringent, how difficult it has become to land up in a job (both in France and outside, say UK) ?
4. Is it easy to get internships in the gap year?

Kindly reply soon as I have only 3 days left for my confirmation deadline.

Hey guys,
So, I can very well understand your fears about the future job scenario, as no one wants to spend a bucket load of money and then have to go back to their home country because they did not find a job on graduation.
That said, the situation is really not that bad everywhere in Europe.
I am currently in my MiM 2nd year at ESCP Europe, and though finding a job is not very easy, it is definitely not impossible. This is especially true if you graduate from the top MiM schools of Europe may it be ESSEC,HEC, ESCP in France; IE in Spain; Bocconi in Italy and so on. Really good firms come and recruit from these colleges, but yes you need to have a competitive profile as the job market is really tough.
If you think that your job is done once you get admitted into the college.....then boy are you wrong.
The amount you slog here will be directly proportional to the ease of finding a job later. Companies want dynamic students...so study well, participate in clubs, win competitions and you will not have a problem getting recruited.
Also most of these colleges have a gap year or gap sem concept, so you can find an internship(which is comparatively easy) and improve your profile before entering the job market.
Here i must mention that it is comparatively difficult for non EU to find a job in some countries, such as the UK because of its really stringent immigration laws or in countries like Italy and Spain, which are still recovering from recession. But if you have a good profile nothing is impossible.
Also do yourself a favor and try to learn the local language, you will improve your chances manifolds if you have the ability to speak the language of the country and will truly be able to leverage the schools potential.

Well again I reiterate.... things are looking up. MiM schools are becoming really popular & the EU economy is recovering, so its a good time to do the MiM.
