Do all schools send an email to an applicant when they are invited to an interview or do some only update it on the status checkers?

I got emails from K and Chicago... I think they always send invites. You may want to post your question on the board of the specific school you are thinking of...

I think most schools will either call you or e-mail you. I don't think they expect you to check the status of your online application regularly.
