Question

How long are your answers to the following two questions:

"Walk me through your resume"
"Why do you want to pursue an MBA and why from this school?"

I feel like mine are bit long. They both take me about 4-5 minutes.

I would spend around 1 1/2 mins about the professional aspect of your resume. Promotions, the fact that you are the only non-exec invited to the strategy meetings etc.

Then I would spend a good 1 1/2 minute over your extra cirriculars, guide to the alps, the video you produced for BBC etc.

Overall around 3 mins

For the second question

"Why do you want to pursue an MBA and why from this school?" 

I would spend a min on why MBA:
- Career growth
- Business skills
- Network
- Learn approaches outside of your industry

Why from this school: - 1.5 min

There is a lot you can say here but I would just pick

- The key distinguishing factor or philosophy for that school (e.g. case method for HBS, business fundamentals for Wharton)
- A program u will participate in (social enterprise initiative etc.)
- A prof you like
- A club you will have an impact on
- Somehow tie back the location of the school (e.g. Lots of Underwater photography fanatics in Boston or something along those lines.

Overall 2.5 mins
