Hi! My name is Bennett Snyder and I am a second year graduate student in the Manderson Graduate School of Business at the University of Alabama.
The graduate program I am enrolled in is actually the dual MBA/MSCE (Civil Engineering) program, so my experience is a little bit different than what you will find with an MBA only curriculum. However, I am familiar enough with the MBA program to answer all questions you may have about it. Also, the University of Alabama offers a great deal of dual Master's options along with the MBA - which is what I am doing - so I can definitely answer any questions you may have related to that as well. These dual programs substitute in a second Master's degree to go with your MBA, instead of an MBA concentration, in the same two-year time frame - so it's a huge bargain in terms of "bang for your buck". Some notable dual degrees include civil engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, law, theatre, management information systems (IT), and more.
I am looking forward to posting about our graduate program here at the University of Alabama and answering all questions about the GMAT, my experiences, and anything else you may want to ask.
Bennett
