Hi Everyone,
I have been scratching around trying to find the best place to put my introduction post, and I ended up here.
Plans:
I am keen to get into a fairly elite school for my MBA (why not aim for the top?), but have not yet decided on an American or European School. I am after a future career in the management side of the upstream oil and gas companies (might be keen to move into a major), hence the interest in an MBA. I figured I would get the GMAT out of the way now while I am still fairly fresh from school (MSc finished end 09). I also see a MBA as a good break from the corporate world and would like a school in an amazing city (hence my initial looking into Columbia).
GMATclub:
I hope I can learn a bunch from you all, and maybe I will be able to give something back once I begin to wrap my head around the gmat process.
History:
I already have a BEng and a MSc in Engineering, so I am definitly on the technical side (I am a resevoir engineer). But I have a keen sense of interest in most things macro economic and tend to read, read, read on the subject.
Bio:
I am Australian, and completed my BEng at QUT in Queensland but moved to Scotland to pursue my MSc (Heriot Watt).
I like cycling, eating and fine wine.
I am fairly up to date with the happenings in the oil world, and I have an opinion on just about anything.
Thanks,
Liam.
