Hi - please let me know if I am a good candidate for the target programs listed below and any areas to focus on improving:
Demographics: Age 25, Male, American
GMAT: 720
Education: BS in Finance/Economics from a top 50 public university; 3.6 GPA; 3.8 Major GPA
Work Exp: 2 years in Investment Banking; 2 years in Private Equity (upon matriculation) - both focused on the TMT sector
Extra-curriculars:[ Volunteer as a mentor/coach for disadvantaged local community college students; In undergrad, started a for-profit student consulting organization.
Post MBA goals: International-focused private equity investing

So far o good. You are int he right industry with the right GMAT and GPA.
The only "neg" I can see is a nonIvy school, but as long as its well known and you have other goodies, you should be fine.
I would need however more info about work, ECs and volunteer work (which are all the crux) to understand where you stand in relation to top schools. But basically, yeah, sure with a great application, Top 10/15 schools is where it's at!
