Hello,
I took the Kaplan CAT 1 this morning and scored 630. I did really badly in IR as to be honest I did not even know the format of that. Is that counted in my 630 or is the 630 a combination of just Quant and Verbal?

Just like on the real test, Kaplan CATs score your IR section completely separately from your 200-800 score.
Don't worry if your test scores aren't so hot right now, by the way. Your first test is a diagnosis, not a prognosis--use that baseline to focus your studies and figure out where and how to improve!
