Hi Mike
Sorry for bothering you. But whenever I have a query your name pops up in my head and I send you a message. So I was working on the IR section and tried skipping the MSQ (multiple source question). I was able to score much better. So wanted to check if there is any score related to the level of IR question. So what if I skip the MSQ and focus on the other questions. Would GMAT penalise me for skipping the MSQ or is it that all IR questions hold similar weightage. Look forward to your reply...
Cheers
Dear
nm855,
I'm happy to help.
GMAC has kept rather tight-lipped about the details of how IR is graded, but from what we can tell, it seems that they count all questions equally. It doesn't appear that they would penalize folks more for skipping one type of question vs. another.
Having said that, simply planning to skip a batch of questions is not really a plan for excellence. I would say: redouble your efforts on MSR questions! Practice as many of them as you can find. Here's a free one to practice.

Does this make sense?
