Re: IR Score Review [#permalink]

Dear Team at Magoosh,

I just wrote the gmat for the first time and could only reach a 650 score after studying full time for 3 weeks. My goal is to get at least a 700 since I am applying for a masters degree in Michigan ( Supply Chain Management ). While the quant score was 42 and verbal 38, the IR was 8! I dont know if I will have the same luck next time and would like to know if I get a better score say a 700 but only 6 in IR, do business schools take the best scores from different sections or do they review just one exam ( the best one) and see the score of each section only?

Thank you,
Manuel

With my limited knowledge I can tell that, generally, the B-schools consider your quants and verbal only. IR and AWA matters but not as much as IR or AWA. I even heard an B-school rep calling it a "smart" step. But, certainly high Score in IR improves your chances of getting admitted. Don't have knowledge about any particular university.
