Hi all! Just took my GMAT today and scored a 710 (Q48/V40). Still waiting on AWA obviously, but what concerned me was I got a 5 in IR. That caught me totally off-guard as on my past couple of practice GMATs, I'd consistently score 7-8s - Think it was just test day jitters...
Wanted to see what the consensus was on how much my IR score (47th percentile) mattered if I plan on applying to T20 schools (namely UCLA and USC, though I just saw USC's new average is 736 :') ). Debating on retaking but don't want to fork over the exam fee if it'll only marginally increase my chances, if at all. Any advice is appreciated

May want to reach out to the school or current students for their thoughts. Using the SEARCH function on gmatclub to find similar posts may give you a better idea how the IR is viewed, too.

a high gmat score is definitely a deal breaker for many of top B schools , you can either apply with your current score to few of the schools or else can re take .. IR of 6 or above required for top b schools ..
