Unfortunately i do not have a particular approach here....

1) statement says that sqrt(y) is between 0 and 1.... so it basically says that y is a positive number since there is no root for a negative number....

After that i simply picked several numbers... and chose A.

2) statement is definetely not sufficient since we can have a negative and a positive value....
