Guys i have heard that GMAC does not test idioms in SC question and 11the edition SC questions are full of Idioms testing?
should i move on other higher edition?
The GMAT absolutely still tests idiomatic usage, although it does try to avoid idioms that are likely to put non-American test takers at a disadvantage.

The 11th edition is still useful for prep, but if you can, you should try to do questions from later editions as well.

I just happen to have published the OG 11th Directory: https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-officia ... 78160.html

The book is absolutely valid, BUT!!! Some of the questions were removed and used later in the GMAT Prep Software, which if you use this book, you will likely sabbotage the value of your GMAT prep tests, including Tests 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The only OG's that seem to be safe are post OG 13 - e.g. OG 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Any previous version will have overlap with GMAT Prep.

As an example, there are at least 16 questions in PS that have overlap and at least 10 known GMAT Prep questions that Overlap with OG 11

Hi aa008,

I’m glad you reached out, and I’m happy to help. So, I agree with AjiteshArun; idioms are still tested on the GMAT, but not as heavily or in the same way they once were. Furthermore, Sentence Correction questions are evolving in many ways, not just in how they use idioms. So, using later versions of the OG and later versions of GMATPrep can be really helpful.

That being said, what is your GMAT score goal? When is your GMAT?

You may find it helpful to read this article about
how to score a 700+ on the GMAT.

Please reach out with any further questions.
