Here x can be anything less than 7, so it can satisfy 5≤x≤6 but it can also be the case where x<5. NOT SUFFICIENT
2)X>4
Here x can be anything greater than 4, so it can satisfy 5≤x≤6 but it can also be ther case where x>7. NOT SUFFICIENT
Combining 1 and 2 we get: 4<x<7
In this case x can satisfy 5≤x≤6 but there can also be a case where x=4.2 or x= 6.4 and thus not satisfying 5≤x≤6
Since the question does not state that x is an integer we cannot assume it to be so.
Thus no definate answer can be reached and both statements together are also NOT SUFFICIENT
This makes the correct answer to be E
