Hello,
I appeared for the GMAT recently and scored 670. I am an Indian student and I have done my B.Tech in Computer science from a reputed college that ranks among the top 10 engineering colleges in India. My GPA is 9.3/10 and currently I am working as a technology/business analyst in a leading american Investment bank. I am planning to apply next year and currently I have 2 years of work-ex. Would such a score help me get into top 15-20 b schools?? Any advice as to which college I should target while applying for admission would be highly appreciated.

The average for top 10 is about 717 and for next 10 schools, the average is 697, so with your 670, you will be a bit below the average, which is not a big issue until you hit a category of the Indian IT folks.
I would say you need to hit the average at least (preferably as high as you can) to make yourself stand out more. Of course a more detailed profile analysis with an admissions consultant could uncover something special about your profile (though it is really hard to be truly special since everybody is if you know what I mean)....

Your option is to retake or to apply to top 50 instead.

I too need your advice.
I scored 680(Q42,V41) recently.Dont know,messed up quant completely.Aiming for ISB but i too fall under Indian IT category.Do you think i should plan a retake? And if yes,how soon?
Does my score suffice for a call from ISB./?
