a^2*b-a*b^2 = ab(a-b)
We need to determine whether ab(a-b) is positive or negative.

(1)Only
a-b>0
but ab can be either positive or negative.
Insufficient

(2)Only
a-b>0
And ab>0 (since both are negative)
ab(a-b) is positive
We can answer "Yes" to the posed question.
Sufficient.

The answer is thus (B).

is ab(a-b)<0 ?

(1) \(a > b > ab\)
Case 1:
a is positive and b is negative
\(ab(a-b)<0\)

Case 2:
both a and b are between 0 and 1 for eg a =0.1 and b = 0.01 then ab=0.001
\(ab(a-b)>0\)
Insufficient


(2) 0>a>b
\(ab(a-b)>0\)
Sufficient

Is a^2b>b^2a?

ab(a-b)>0?

(1) a>b>ab
either a,b both are negative or are positive fractional numbers
if both are negative ab is +ve and so is (a-b )
if +ve fractional numbers still both are positive .sufficient

(2) 0>a>b
ab and (a-b) both are positive
sufficient
